The spaces we inhabit take on a particular meaning. They house memories of passed times and shared company. My commissioned paintings honor the desire to preserve the character, sensibility and aesthetics of a loved space or place and stand as mementos of spaces that will someday disappear or inevitably change.
In each commission, I work closely with the client elaborating sketches, sending photos of the work in progress to ultimately create a painting that captures the essence of the place they seek to memorialize.
